MotorDocs – the new name for digital document solutions in the automotive industry
Motor Document Solutions Ltd, the company behind iDealFile, has changed its name to MotorDocs. This move coincides with the launch of iServiceFile – the company’s new digital document solution for service departments – and a powerful set of Add-Ons that enable advanced functionality of its platforms.
In addition to the name change, the company is unveiling a fresh corporate identity. Designed to reflect the company’s ‘less is more’ ethos, the updated branding also means a new look for the company’s established iDealFile platform which will be reflected on iServiceFile and its Add-Ons too.
Visitors to AM Live will be able to see the new branding on the MotorDocs stand (Stand C28) as well as at motordocs.co.uk – the new online home for all information relating to iDealFile and iServiceFile.
Digital document pioneers
MotorDocs is committed to helping dealers transform performance through innovative and intelligent digital document solutions. It leads the way in developing cloud-based platforms that improve efficiencies, compliance, profitability, customer experience and environmental impact.
By introducing the full suite of MotorDocs products, sales and service departments can remove large volumes of paperwork from the dealership and introduce digital document workflows – seamlessly collating information from multiple sources and unlocking powerful business intelligence.
iDealFile – a trusted partner
Now installed at over 230 locations across the UK – including the estates of three of the UK’s Top 10 dealer groups – iDealFile seamlessly integrates with dealer management and third-party systems to turn manual paper-based documents into secure electronic digitally-signed, visible, traceable and auditable data.
The feature-rich product delivers time savings of between 2 and 4 hours per deal file and cash savings of at least £4 per deal file thanks to reduced print, paper, storage and retrieval costs.
Building on the success of iDealFile, MotorDocs is introducing iServiceFile to the motor industry at AM Live 2019. Designed by automotive aftersales experts, this innovative solution gives dealers the chance to introduce the benefits of digital document management to another business area.
Reflecting many of the same commercial benefits as iDealFile, the iServiceFile solution is a secure online platform where team members can manage all documents related to the service and repair of vehicles.
Throughout the development phase, the iServiceFile Product Team were in close discussions with dealer teams at locations around the country which has resulted in a solution that is closely aligned with the needs of a modern-day Aftersales Department – with a specific focus on supporting more warranty approvals.
With iServiceFile installed, dealers know that all service-related documents are safely stored in one place and accessible at the touch of a button. With a comprehensive audit trail – including time and date stamps for every action - management controls and cost recovery on warranty claims are significantly improved.
Maximising product potential
Completing the MotorDocs line-up is a new set of Add-Ons which will help users maximise the impact that MotorDocs products make in dealerships
The iShare Add-On makes it easy to send and receive important customer documents – and collect signatures – without leaving iDealFile or iServiceFile. Following successful completion of a two-step verification process, customers will be able to download, upload and digitally-sign documents on any device. iShare tracks every action and keeps dealers notified every step of the way.
With the iPerform dashboard set up, dealers will be able to get an even clearer picture of the performance of their sales and aftersales teams. Using in-built or custom-built reports they will have complete visibility into their business and gain actionable insights that help them make key decisions quicker.
Over and above the standard iDealFile features, the iComply Add-On gives dealers total control over system workflow so they decide the actions that must be taken to unlock the next stage in a process. It also offers file verification meaning the system will self-audit - automatically cross-checking data to eliminate any inaccuracies at the earliest opportunity.
Finally, iOrganise is a digital workshop whiteboard, designed to help users visually manage and assign jobs in a busy aftersales department. As Job Cards are created in iServiceFile, identical T-Cards appear in iOrganise which can be assigned via drag and drop to any technician. Once assigned, the technician can immediately click through for more details – supporting efficient and timely completion of all tasks.
Vital tools for the automotive industry
Commenting on the launches, MotorDocs Managing Director Ritchie Kelk said: “We are delighted to be able to launch the MotorDocs brand alongside a new product and a comprehensive set of Add-Ons. As profit margins continue to be squeezed and compliance challenges weigh heavier, dealers need the tools to work as efficiently and securely as possible. Our digital document solutions are about much more than document storage. They have a huge role to play in helping dealer teams work quicker, safer and smarter – with added environmental benefits.
“Having pioneered the development of digital document solutions with iDealFile, we’ve helped sales teams in leading automotive organisations transform their workflows and deliver a boost to business performance. The introduction of iServiceFile gives aftersales teams the chance to access the same benefits – with a product that has been designed to cope with the demands and unique challenges of a service and repair department.
“We look forward to unveiling the new branding and product developments at AM Live 2019 – showcasing the positive commercial benefits of fully-integrated intelligent digital document management.”
